How Does Ultrasound Therapy Treat Plantar Fasciitis?

Ultrasonic sound waves are pulsed at your heel area a million times per second. These waves stimulate your Plantar Fascia (the ligament that connects your toes to your heels) and the part of your heel bone the Plantar Fascia attaches to.

  • The sound waves penetrate the skin and surface layers and cause the soft tissue to vibrate, producing gentle healing vibrations within the affected area that soothe inflammation and relieve pain.
  • Ultrasound waves also cause tissues to relax and increase blood flow to help reduce local swelling and chronic inflammation.
  • Increased blood flow also delivers more oxygen and nutrients to the tissue, removes cell waste and aids healing.

Ultrasound Is A Healing Technology

Sonic Relief™ was developed by company founder, Dr. Matthew Weisbrod, MD, over an 11-year period. Dr. Weisbrod had seen amazing results from clinical therapeutic ultrasound and made it his mission to bring the same results from the clinic to the home.

Ultrasound is a fantastic technology because it actually speeds up the body's natural healing process. In the same way that exercise stimulates your body, so does ultrasound. It increases the blood and oxygen flow to damaged tissues, helps to remove cellular waste to make room for new healthy cells and reduces local swelling and inflammation (which in turn relieves pain).

When you use ultrasound, you aren't turning down your nervous system, you're turning up the healing process.

The real strength of ultrasound is in multiple, repeat uses as opposed to higher-strength doses on an infrequent basis. Ultrasound is one of few treatment options that provides a benefit known as the cumulative effect.

Simply stated, each treatment builds upon the healing provided by the previous treatment. It's repetition that provides the best results, not high dosage as you might expect. For this reason, Sonic Relief™ has been designed to provide you with frequent ultrasound treatments, safely in the comfort of your home.

The treatment schedule for Plantar Fasciitis is three 10-minute treatments per day, 7 days per week for 3 weeks.

Sonic Relief™ is the only medical-grade personal ultrasound machine on the market. It is not a cosmetic grade beauty massager. Years of testing settings - power output levels, wave forms and temporal peak intensities - to determine how to best relieve pain and speed the healing process resulted in Sonic Relief's superior therapeutic qualities.

How Long Until I Notice Results?

You will notice pain relief immediately after you begin treating yourself.

If you follow the recommended treatment schedule, your pain will recede noticeably over a 2 or 3 week period until you are ultimately pain-free.

After you've relieved your pain, you should continue to treat yourself on a regular basis to ensure that your Plantar Fasciitis pain does not return.

And, if Sonic Relief™ doesn't work for you - for any reason - just send it back to us for a full refund.

Results may vary and will depend on the nature and severity of your ailment. Past results do not necessarily indicate future performance. Learn about our 45-day money back guarantee here.

Who Can Use Ultrasound Therapy?

Elite athletes have used ultrasound therapy for years - ultrasound is what allows them to get back in the game so quickly after they injure themselves.

Before Sonic Relief, ultrasound therapy was only available to those who could afford expensive, professional-grade machines or 3-times daily access to a physiotherapist.

Now, everyone can benefit from access to the exact same technology, as often as necessary, at a fraction of the price.

Whether you're a senior citizen, an athlete or just someone experiencing pain caused by Plantar Fasciitis, ultrasound therapy is safe to use and is a great treatment option for your pain.

Are There Any Side Effects With Ultrasound Therapy?

There have not been any documented adverse effects attributable to the use of therapeutic ultrasound. Ultrasound has been used in the medical community for more than 60 years!

Unlike painkillers and other drug treatments, ultrasound therapy has not been shown to interact with systemic medications and has not demonstrated habit-forming behaviour.

We recommend that people with pacemakers and other electronic implants do not use ultrasound for obvious reasons. Ultrasound should not be performed directly over replacement joints, metal implants or on the face, skull and throat.
